We are here to support
Caring for each other and knowing others care for you is at the heart of church life. We’re passionate about people being known, becoming whole and thriving as disciples of Jesus. The Pastoral Care Team is available for those in our church family, ready to walk alongside you with prayer and biblical support whenever you need it. No matter what stage of faith or life you’re at, the team are ready to care for you if you are struggling. We don’t want anyone to feel alone or lost, please reach out, we are ready to hear from you and care for you. Here are a few of the ways we provide pastoral support:
Meeting for a coffee to chat and pray together, following up on Sundays
Meal rotas for new parents (biological/foster/adoptive), or if you are going through a difficult time
A lift to an appointment or the hospital if you're not able to get there by yourself
Visiting you in hospital if you are unwell, alongside one of our Elders, who can also pray with you
Accompaniment to a church event to help connect you with others and feel more at ease
Help connect you with local mental health services, or with the Hope Hub which can connect you with additional local services such as debt, housing, employment support (among others)

Prayer
As Christians we believe that God loves and cares for each of us, and we believe that prayer makes a real difference in our lives. No matter what stage of faith or life you’re at, we would love to pray for you and your situation today. We offer prayer ministry every Sunday during the service, please do make the most of this amazing team! If you are suffering from an illness and you would value someone coming to pray with you, one or two from our team of Elders would love to visit or call you. If this is something you'd value, please email: elders@hopeportsmouth.church
Hope Hub
We connect individuals with emotional, practical, spiritual and financial support during times of need; whilst empowering them to tackle the underlying root causes of challenges they face. We have many mid-week activities that take place as well as ways to receive 1:1 support.
Building Community
Hope Church is a place to know and be known. We believe that nobody should live feeling isolated, and that good friendships are so life giving. Alongside Life Groups, we offer many different opportunities to help you meet new people, grow real and meaningful friendships and to be supported in your life.
