SUNDAYS

  • During the Sunday morning meeting, our tots are looked after by an amazing team of DBS checked volunteers. We start with lots of free play before moving onto a short Bible Story Time with our hand puppet - Jack the dog. This is really interactive, accessible and based around repetition and song. We often have some time for craft/ colouring before finishing with some fun worship.

Under 1s are welcome to stay in the service and make use of our toy box and sofa corner, or move to the lobby area by the toilets, where we endeavour to have the service live-streamed & a handful of toys. Under 1s are also welcome in Pebbles, with their carer, please speak to the Kids’ Registration team if you’d like to do this.

  • In Groundbreakers, children meet in small groups - Starlights, Blaze and Pioneers, where we work through some team activities, worship time, memory verse learning & bible exploration, a main message (usually accompanied by some video content) followed by some response time - usually based around discussion questions, soaking, prayer time or hands-on responses.

We believe that there is no junior Jesus, or baby Holy Spirit and are passionate about providing our primary aged children foundational discipleship opportunities, to help our kids to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus; facilitate their own, tangible, experiences of the Holy Spirit and to develop a deep knowledge of who they are and how they are found in their loving, Father God.

  • Our Sunday morning services are lively, family-friendly gatherings.
Young people in Year 6-9 have their own group called Rooted, which will meet on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of the month. Rooted youth can check themselves in at the Kids’ Registration desk when they arrive in the morning. Registration is open between 10-10.30am and, on a first visit, they’ll need to be registered by an adult (they do not need to print & wear stickers).

Please share, in detail, any additional needs your child may have - we may not be able to accommodate all needs on your first visit, but we will endeavour to work with you to make the best plan. If you’d like to discuss any needs or expectations before your first visit, please email our youth worker Abby at abby@thekings.church.

On a Sunday morning, Rooted Youth will usually stay in until the end of the worship time, before meeting their youth workers at the door and heading to our newly refurbished Youth Room for the rest of the service. They will return to the main church at the end of the service and be released.
